National Science Foundation (NSF) TAPDINTO-STEM program

NSF标志Logo of the TAPDINTO STEM projectThe Alliance for Students with Disabilities for 包容, 网络, and Transition Opportunities in STEM (TAPDINTO-STEM) is a collaborative project funded by the National Science Foundation with the goal of increasing the quantity of students with disabilities receiving associate, 学士学位, and graduate degrees in science, 技术, 工程, 和数学(STEM).

Landmark College students are invited to apply for the following programs:

  • Bridge to Baccalaureate Program: This program is for first-year and second-year (sophomores) students who plan to obtain a bachelor’s degree in STEM. The goal for students in this bridge is to transition into the Bridge to Post-Baccalaureate Program. 参与者 被录取并注册 in the Bridge to Baccalaureate Program will receive a 500美元的津贴 每学期.   • Bridge to Post-Baccalaureate Program: This program is for juniors and seniors who are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in STEM. In addition to financial stipends, participants will receive benefits from the following program components:

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for Bridge programs, applicants must:

  • Be a full-time student enrolled at Landmark College
  • Be pursuing an associate or undergraduate degree in a STEM-related discipline
  • 做一个U.S. 公民, 一个国家的, or a lawfully admitted permanent resident alien with a documented qualifying condition (see application for types of conditions)
  • 至少有3个.0 cumulative GPA (students with support needs, as recommended by the College, are required to maintain a minimum 2.8 GPA)

Participation Requirements

To maintain eligibility and earn stipends, Bridge program participants must:

  • Attend monthly meetings with faculty, staff, and other students in the program
  • Document at least 1 hour of traditional and/or online mentoring activities per week
  • Participate in enrichment activities, such as academic/career workshops and professional meetings
  • Remain enrolled full time in a STEM degree program with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (students with support needs, as recommended by the College, are required to maintain a minimum 2.8 GPA)
